voice over IP (VOIP)
solutions
Voice over IP has arrived! What is VOIP?
Voice over IP leverages your existing network infrastructure to connect
your phones to your phone system. Simply put, VOIP allows you to
convert your phone conversation into data that is transferred on an IP network
(your LAN, the internet, Telco IP services, etc). Imagine calling
your west coast office from your east coast office and not paying for the
call. How? If you're already paying for the network link
between the offices, in most cases, there's no need for another connection. The
voice data just travels on the same shared network wires. This can result in
big savings compared to traditional phone service costs.
What about quality? Today's IP technology gives quality and feature sets that
you'd expect from business class communications systems. If you
haven't looked into IP telephony lately, then you don't know what you're
missing. The clarity of an IP voice call rivals the quality of
an analog call. In fact, you may have been speaking to someone
today, or this week, who use VOIP and you didn't even know it.
JV Communications proudly sells and
supports the following Nortel Networks Business Communications Manager (BCM)
solutions that feature VOIP.
